UIF Login (uif-login.co.za) is an independent South African website that explains the Unemployment Insurance Fund in plain language.
Why we started this site
Anyone who has tried to claim UIF knows the feeling: official portals that change, forms with codes instead of names, and advice on social media that contradicts itself. We started UIF Login to put clear, step-by-step answers in one place, so workers and employers can sort out their UIF without wasting a day in a queue.
What we cover

How we write our guides
- We check our guides against official sources: the Department of Employment and Labour, UIF Online, uFiling, SARS and the Unemployment Insurance Act.
- We update guides when the UIF changes its systems or rules, and show the date of the last update on each guide.
- We keep the language simple and practical, because most of our readers are dealing with a stressful situation.
What we are not
UIF Login is not the Unemployment Insurance Fund, the Department of Employment and Labour or any government body. We cannot process claims, check your personal record or speed up a payment. We will never ask for your ID number, password, OTP or banking details.
